
Rik Lewis
Regional Executive 2025-2026
Rik Lewis has been an active member of the HFMA Washington/Alaska Chapter since 1999, bringing more than two decades of passion and commitment to the organization. After multiple terms on the WA/AK Board, he stepped into the officer team and proudly served two consecutive terms as Chapter President from 2016 to 2018.
Rik’s dedication extends beyond the chapter level—he began volunteering with the Western Region Symposium (formerly the Region 11 Symposium) in 2005 and has contributed in a variety of roles ever since. Over 20 years later, his enthusiasm for supporting HFMA and advancing healthcare finance remains as strong as ever.
Now serving as RE1, Rik is honored to give back to the region that has shaped so much of his professional journey, and he looks forward to continuing to connect, inspire, and lead across Region 11.

Vanessa Couch-Laguana
Regional Executive 2 2025-2026
Vanessa Couch-Laguana served in many roles for HFMA national and chapter roles which includes, HFMA National Advisory Council, Past President Hawaii and Nevada Chapters, Director Hawaii Chapter and has served on multiple committees on the Western Region Symposium as a chair and committee member. She started her HFMA journey with the Hawaii Chapter and now her home chapter is the Nevada chapter.
Vanessa is a passionate healthcare leader and mentor with 27 years in the industry and is the Director of Patient Financial Services for Valleywise Health.

Amanda De Los Reyes
Regional Executive 3 2025-2026
Amanda is an accomplished healthcare leader with over 23 years of experience in the industry, including 20 years in progressive leadership roles. She currently serves as the Vice President of Revenue at Valleywise Health, where she oversees the entire revenue cycle and leads initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Amanda holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and is deeply committed to maintaining strong key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring a positive and seamless patient experience. She is also passionate about mentoring colleagues and actively engaging in professional networks to share knowledge and implement best practices.
A dedicated member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) since 2011, Amanda has held a variety of leadership positions within the organization, culminating in her service as President for the 2024–2025 term.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Tammy Trovatten
Regional Treasurer 2025-2026
Tammy Trovatten, FHFMA, currently serves as the HFMA Region 11 Treasurer. She started her active involvement with HFMA in the Montana Chapter, which switched to the Northern California Chapter as well as Region 11 upon her move to Sacramento in 2010. She served as President of the Northern California Chapter 2017-2018. Tammy also served a two-year term as a HFMA National Advisory Council (NAC) member on the Strategy & Innovation committee.
Tammy is the Vice President of Government Reimbursement and Managed Care Operations at UC Davis Health System. She has over twenty years’ experience in healthcare financial positions. Her career began as a Medicare auditor. She then moved to the provider side at one of the largest hospitals in Montana as Manager of Decision Support and Data Analytics. Tammy’s extensive expertise spans hospital and government finance areas such as government reimbursement, 340B, accounting, budgeting, pricing, payor contracts, documentation and coding, community benefit, audit, and managed care.

Meredith Peterson
Regional Treasurer Elect 2025-2026
Meredith Peterson is the Director of Financial Planning and Decision Support at Salinas Valley Health, located in Monterey County, and is responsible for fiscal management and planning, pro forma development and long-range forecasting. Prior to joining Salinas Valley Health, she held various finance roles at Hillsboro Medical Center, Kaufman Hall, Kaiser Permanente and OHSU.
Meredith is a native Oregonian and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Willamette University and a Master of Business Administration from Portland State University. She has been an active member in the Healthcare Financial Management Association for over 20 years and is a past President of the Oregon chapter.

Jeff Johnson
Immediate Past Regional Executive
Jeff Johnson is one of the Oregon HFMA’s past president and is a nationally acclaimed motivational trainer, speaker and facilitator, as well as a veteran in the credit and collection industry. He is a certified 7-Habits Trainer and served as a director of the International Division of the Franklin Covey Leadership Center in Salt Lake City.
Jeff is the Chief Client Officer at Professional Credit.
