People: 5 HFMA members move to new CEO and CFO roles
Five HFMA members have recently advanced to CEO and CFO leadership positions in healthcare.
Ohio State Wexner Medical Center names Richard Silveria as CFO

Richard Silveria joins Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, as CFO on April 1. He previously served as senior vice president and system CFO at Cape Cod Healthcare in Hyannis, Mass. Silveria also will draw on experience from his service as executive vice president and CFO at the University of Chicago Medicine and in finance leadership positions at Boston Medical Center and Mass General Brigham. He became a member of HFMA in 1992 and is now a member of the Massachusetts-Rhode Island Chapter.
Athens Orthopedic taps Michael C. Boblitz as CEO

Continuing to interweave his experience in orthopedics and healthcare administration, Michael C. Boblitz, MBA, started as CEO at Athens Orthopedic Clinic in Athens, Ga., on Feb. 3. His previous experience includes managing business planning and market analysis at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, driving strategy at Gwinnett Health System in Lawrenceville, Ga., leading the executive team at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic, while serving on the teaching faculty at Florida State University in Tallahassee. An HFMA member since 2004, Boblitz is currently a member of the Association’s Georgia Chapter.
Douglas Zehner starting as CFO at Holy Name Medical Center

Douglas Zehner became the CFO for Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, N.J., on Jan. 20. He previously held leadership positions at RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH), including Northeast Regional CFO, COO for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) and senior vice president of finance and CFO for NBIMC. Before RWJBH, he worked in financial leadership roles for MedStar, as CFO for Washington Hospital Center and for HCA Healthcare as CFO of HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke’s. Zehner is currently a member of HFMA’s New Jersey Chapter.
Jason Ladd has joined Lexington Clinic as CFO

On Oct. 21, Jason Ladd, CPA, started as CFO of Lexington Clinic in Lexington, Ky., having previously served at Orlando Health as CFO, ambulatory and post-acute services. Ladd’s prior experience includes having served as senior director for Franklin, Tenn.-based Fast Pace Health and as director of finance for a skilled nursing management company and as an auditor for PwC. Ladd is a member of the HFMA Florida Chapter.
Ryan Kennedy becomes CFO for Beebe Healthcare

Having joined Beebe Healthcare in Sussex County, N.Y., on July 29, Ryan Kennedy, CPA, brings to the health system accounting, auditing and financial management experience from roles at Rothstein Kass, Ernst & Young, St. Francis Hospital and, most recently, Holy Name Medical Center in northern New Jersey, where he served as CFO for 10 years. At Beebe Healthcare, Kennedy is helping lead strategic transformation and focusing on joint partnerships and value-based care. An HFMA member since March 2010, Kennedy is currently a member of the Association’s New Jersey Chapter.
