President’s Welcome

Dear Louisiana HFMA Members, Sponsors, and Friends,
It is a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as President of the Louisiana Chapter of HFMA for the 2025–2026 term. As we embark on this new chapter together, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our more than 800 members, our dedicated volunteers, and our valued corporate and educational sponsors. Your continued commitment to collaboration, learning, and leadership is what makes our chapter thrive.
I’m excited to introduce this year’s Chapter theme: “Connected in Purpose.” This theme speaks to the core of who we are as a chapter—a dynamic network of professionals united by a shared purpose: to support and strengthen the financial health of our communities through education, innovation, and service. Whether we are learning from industry experts, mentoring future leaders, or giving back through volunteerism, we do it together—and with purpose.
My journey with Louisiana HFMA began in 2015 when I volunteered on the social and networking committee. At the time, I simply wanted to get involved and support the chapter. Little did I know, that first step would grow into years of meaningful friendships, professional development, and now, the incredible opportunity to lead this community as Chapter President. Over the coming year, I look forward to working closely with our chapter leaders, volunteers, members, and sponsors to continue building on our strong foundation. Our events, partnerships, and initiatives will reflect the values that have always set Louisiana HFMA apart: connection, education, and service.
Whether you’re a long-time member or just getting involved, I invite you to:
- Attend one of our upcoming educational or networking events;
- Consider volunteering, or becoming a corporate or educational sponsor;
- Share your ideas with us—we’re always looking to grow and improve.
If you have questions, suggestions, or just want to connect, feel free to reach out to me directly at amy.carpenter@flywire.com or connect with me on LinkedIn. I’m truly excited for the year ahead. Let’s stay Connected in Purpose—and lead this chapter forward, together.
Warm regards,
Amy Carpenter, MS-HCM
