President’s Welcome
Welcome to the Sunflower (Kansas) Chapter!
I am incredibly honored to be able to serve as the President of the Sunflower (Kansas) Chapter of HFMA for 2025-2026. While I have been a member of the Sunflower Chapter for almost 15 years, it was not until I became actively involved as a Board member and on the Programs Committee that I saw all the amazing benefits of being part of HFMA. I look forward to spending the next year (and beyond) encouraging our members to get involved, to volunteer (even in the smallest ways), to attend the meetings and networking events, and to truly dive into everything that HFMA has to offer you on both a personal and professional level. You will not only gain valuable continuing education but also gain friends and resources that will last you a lifetime!
Our Chapter continues to have an amazing group of volunteers in leadership roles who work together for the benefit of the Chapter and its members. The Board and Committee Chairs have already met and discussed our chapter success plan which includes providing more frequent communication this year, opportunities to attend meetings and educational events for those needing assistance and continuing to provide our members with the education they keep coming back for! At a national and regional level, HFMA offers many trainings, certifications, and educational opportunities that we encourage you to attend and listen in on as well.
I would like to thank our previous leaders, our business partners, and our members. A special thanks to Liz Murphy for serving as the Sunflower President for 2024-2025 and being a great mentor and friend. Thank you to our business partners. We could not provide the education or networking opportunities that we do without your support. And finally, thank you to our members for your continued passion for healthcare finance and commitment to the communities you serve.
