Dear Members and Friends,
It’s my sincere pleasure to welcome you to another exciting year with the HFMA Southwestern Ohio Chapter. I am honored to serve as your Chapter President and look forward to a year filled with growth, collaboration, and connection.
To our outgoing leadership & committee members, thank you for your efforts and job well done at leading our chapter through a busy year of education. Because of your commitment, we’re well positioned for a successful 2025-2026 fiscal year.
To our incoming leadership & committee members, our chapter success is impossible without you! As I’ve been engaging with each of you over the last few months, the energy of our conversations has been so motivating. I’m so excited to see what we accomplish together over this next year.
To our past, present and future sponsors, not only does your financial support help the chapter to provide quality experiences to our members but your willingness to engage and participate in our events is even more appreciated. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know many of you and can personally say that our membership is so lucky to have you in a seat at the table.
The Southwestern Ohio chapter has always been rooted in a strong commitment to supporting our members—whether you’re a provider or a business partner. We are proud to offer meaningful opportunities for professional development, volunteer engagement, and the chance to build lasting relationships within our regional network.
This year, my focus as President is on enhancing the volunteer experience so that we can continue to creatively offer top notch experiences that maintain our chapter’s value proposition. During my 10 years of volunteerism with HFMA in various roles that include sponsorship, programming, and networking at both the local and regional level, I’ve gotten to know first-hand how much work goes into both event planning and strategic chapter planning. My goal is to renew the spirit of connection and purpose within our local chapter committees, reinforcing that volunteering isn’t just about giving back—it’s about getting more out of your HFMA experience. Whether you’re a longtime member or just beginning your career, there’s a place for you to grow, contribute, and lead within our chapter.
You can look forward to the return of our traditional high-quality educational programming, but with a renewed intention: to create more peer-to-peer learning & connection opportunities that allow us to tackle shared challenges together. And, as always, we’ll continue offering the rich networking experiences that so many of our members value most.
As one of the largest chapters in the country with a membership of over 15,000, we’re in an exciting period of growth. This growth requires focused efforts on expanding engagement with enterprise providers and building an early careerist program that appeals to individuals who are early on in their journeys and can get great value from the professional development and networking that HFMA has to offer. These initiatives are not just about numbers—they’re about creating a chapter that reflects the diversity, energy, and innovation of our local healthcare community.
