President’s Welcome

I hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend!
It’s hard to believe we are already one month into our 2025 – 2026 Chapter Year. Our focus this year will be on expanding value for our members including enterprise members and business partners; community involvement and giving back; student engagement; in addition to expanded resources related to available certifications.
In June, our Board met for the first time and welcomed our new Board members: Nick Belair, Joe Caristi, Lisa Cohen, Tamara Rockwell, Michelle Smith (former Treasurer), and Lynne Winter. We outlined our plan for the year which will be finalized later this month. We recognized three networking events made available to our Chapter membership held in mid-June in Portland, ME; Lebanon, NH; and Burlington, VT.
I’d like to thank all those who volunteer countless hours to our chapter including our Board Members, Officers, co-Committee Chairs and day of event volunteers. Much appreciation goes out to our sponsors for their involvement and support of our Northern New England Chapter. Lastly, I’d like to thank our now past-president, Zach Colby for his contributions to the Chapter over the last two years as President. Under his leadership, we secured and accepted the Innovation Chapter Success Award for the work surrounding the student involvement from University of New Hampshire.
If you have an interest in joining one of our committees or learning more about your HFMA membership, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Please consider joining us at one of our upcoming educational sessions. Later this month we are holding two webinars including the NNE HFMA National Government Services webinar on July 23rd as well as kickstarting our Cost Report Webinar Series on July 29th. Check out the events page of our website for all the latest information related to upcoming events, registration and further details.
We look forward to seeing you in person at our next in-person event in where we have partnered with AAHAM for our NNE HFMA & Twin States AAHAM 2025 Reimbursement & Revenue Cycle Conference September 24 – 25, 2025 at Killington Resort in Killington, VT.
