Regional Executive’s Welcome
Dear Colleagues, Members and Members-to-be,
I am honored to serve as the Regional Executive for HFMA Region 1 commencing June 1, 2025. The role of the regional executive is to serve as the primary volunteer between HFMA national headquarters and the incredible volunteer leaders of our local chapters. Together our goal is to serve our chapter members and promote and lead change efforts to drive HFMA’s strategies.
Region 1 is comprised of three (3) chapters, each offering exceptional events, educational opportunities and industry content. Those chapters include:
I am pleased to share that our Region’s showcase event, the Region 1 conference held May 29th through May 30,, 2025, was a great success with well over 300 attendees! The educational content was outstanding, and the networking opportunities over the two days were incredibly valuable. Save the date for next year at our new location just down the road – Foxwoods Resort Casino! (May 20th and May 21st, 2026).
I have been a part of the HFMA family for 25 years and am honored to have served in various volunteer roles with the chapter, region and national association for most of that time. HFMA membership and volunteerism provides critical industry and educational tools and resources to learn and thrive in the ever-changing world of healthcare. The talented and energetic leaders I have met through HFMA are an inspiration, and the networking opportunities have blessed me with life-long friendships.
HFMA’s 2025-2026 chair, Kiran Batheja, recognizes that healthcare is at a crucial juncture that requires everyone in the industry to work together to shape the future in a positive and meaningful way. He has chosen “Lead Now” as his theme for the year. As he writes “the relationships we build as HFMA members – through shared experiences, challenges and triumphs – make us smarter, stronger and more resilient.” Working together, we can help lead our organizations with purpose, passion and commitment.
