Todd Nelson, chief partnership executive and director of healthcare finance policy for HFMA, was selected to receive the American Organization for Nursing Leadership’s Honorary Member Award.

The award recognizes Nelson for his support of AONL’s mission and his contribution to advancing healthcare through AONL’s core business. AONL, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, is a professional organization of more than 12,000 nurse leaders, working in hospitals, health systems, academia and other care settings.
Nelson said he has been working cooperatively on projects with AONL for more than a decade and was honored by the unexpected award.
“I was surprised, humbled, honored. It came out of the blue,” Nelson said. “I am flattered by an individual honor … everything we do at HFMA is as a team,” he added.
AONL honored Nelson during its annual conference which began March 30 and ran through April 2 in Boston.
