HFMA Comments on CY 2024 OPPS/ASC Proposed Rule

In a September 11, 2023, letter to CMS, HFMA commented on the hospital outpatient prospective payment system and ambulatory surgical center payment system proposed rule for calendar year 2024. In the letter, comments pertained to the rule’s proposals related to the:

  • Cancer Hospital Adjustment
  • Proposed ASC Payment System Update
  • Payment Policy for Outpatient Clinic Visits in Excepted Off-Campus Provider- Based Departments
  • Proposed Changes to the IPPS Medicare Code Editor
  • Health Care Price Transparency

In the letter, HFMA also highlights the agency’s proposals that it fully supports.
