President’s Welcome

Dear South Carolina HFMA Members and Visitors.

I am excited and honoured to serve in the role of President for the South Carolina Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) for the 2025-2026 term.

It is important that I start this letter by thanking Taylor Searfoss and leadership of our chapter. Your dedication and talent are inspiring, and our organization is better because of you. I also want to thank the sponsors of our chapter. Without your generosity and time, we would not be able to offer the fantastic educational events that we host throughout the year. We are grateful for your support. Lastly, thank you to our membership. Your passion and commitment to our industry is making a difference and I am proud to be a part of it.

The theme that I have selected for 2025-2026 is “Better Together.” It is my experience and belief that when healthcare providers and business partners work together, we offer our patients a better financial experience and can truly change lives. In the spirit of this mission, the South Carolina Chapter of HFMA is going to strive to be “Better” by:

B/Belonging: We will foster a sense of belonging and inclusiveness for all members and visitors of our chapter.
E/Engaging: We will engage with our providers and business partners through unique networking and peer group experiences to enhance collaboration and learning.
T/Timely: We will be timely by offering new and innovative education opportunities for our membership and visitors.
T/Tenacious: We will be tenacious in our pursuit for solutions to the challenges that face our healthcare organizations and continuously offer opportunities for collaboration for our membership and visitors.
E/Empower: We will empower our providers and business partners to ask great questions and offer quarterly opportunities to provide feedback to our board.
R/Remember: We will remember our chapter’s rich history of giving back to our communities and continue to seek ways to give back to our communities.
