Hospitals with PBGH Joint Replacement Contracts

Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH), a membership organization that includes many of America’s largest healthcare purchasers, has developed direct contracts for joint replacements, spine procedures, and bariatric surgery with hospitals across the country. PBGH’s Employers Centers of Excellence Network developed the following contracts on behalf of four of its members—WalMart, Lowe’s, McKesson, and JetBlue.

The following hospitals have contract arrangements for joint replacements.

• Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo.
• Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore
• Kaiser Permanente-Irvine Medical Center, Irvine, Calif.
• Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle

The following contracts are in place for spine procedures.

• Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo.
• Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.
• Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle

The following contracts are in place for bariatric surgery.

• St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Cleveland
• Scripps Mercy Hospital, San Diego
