Texas Gulf Coast Chapter

President’s Welcome

Dear Texas Gulf Coast Members,

It’s both a privilege and a pleasure to step into the role of chapter president for the 2025–2026 term. As we begin this new chapter, I’m filled with optimism about the year ahead and the opportunities it brings. In a field where we’re constantly navigating change, whether in workflows, reimbursement models, or the drive to improve outcomes, I’m confident in what we can achieve together.

First, I’d like to sincerely thank Anna Stevens for her exceptional leadership and success over the past year, which included (along with Lone Star and South Texas) a multi-chapter National Success Award for Value.  Her passion and dedication have left a strong legacy, and I’m excited to build upon the solid groundwork she has laid.

We’ve got an exciting lineup of events planned to support your continued learning and connection with peers. This fall, we’ll gather at the beautiful Hotel Galvez in Galveston for a signature event that blends education with coastal charm. In November, our Women’s Dinner will once again shine a spotlight on the remarkable women shaping our industry. Our Southern Exchange joint conference with the Louisiana chapter will take place in Lake Charles in January.  And throughout the year, our popular Lunch & Learns, thanks to the generous support of Houston Methodist, will keep us engaged and informed.

Our theme for the year, “The Power of Collaboration,” speaks to our shared values and vision. When we come together with purpose and partnership, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish. Let’s make this year one of meaningful progress, bold ideas, and collective impact.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve. I’m looking forward to what we’ll create together in the months ahead.

Warmly,
Heather Rose
President, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter, HFMA
