President’s Welcome

Welcome to the Oregon Chapter!

Hi there! I’m Evan Martin, your 2025-2026 President of the Oregon Chapter. First, I want to send a big thank you to Amanda de los Reyes for her incredible leadership this past year. She’s been an amazing mentor to many of us in the chapter!

A little about my own HFMA journey…It all started like many of yours, with a membership and a few monthly publications. Then in 2015, my VP of Revenue Cycle (and a past president of our chapter), Theresa Spalding, told me, “Evan, you’ve got to get involved with the Oregon Chapter of HFMA!” So, I reached out to Member Services, and they connected me with the then President of the chapter, Matt Navigato. Matt had a role for me right away—co-chairing the Patient Accounts Problem Solving committee. That’s where I met Amanda, the committee chair, and I’ve been following in her footsteps ever since!

As your chapter’s incoming president, I’m excited for you to experience what I hope will feel like a professional family. The chapter’s Officers and Board of Directors are here to support you as you grow, both personally and professionally. In fact, this year’s theme is all about growth—building upon our long-standing tradition of professional development. For 2025-2026, we’re embracing the theme: “Explore and Grow” #CampOregon.
