President’s Welcome
Dear HFMA San Diego Imperial Chapter Members,
As I begin my term as President, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve this incredible community. This year, our theme is Back to Basics, a call to return to the core values that have always defined HFMA: education, integrity, service, and connection.
In the ever-evolving world of healthcare finance, it’s easy to get caught up in the complexity. But when we strip things down to their essence, we find that the most meaningful progress often begins with the basics. That’s why this year, we’re focusing on strengthening foundational skills, simplifying the complex, and most importantly reconnecting with each other.
Why Connection Matters
At the heart of HFMA is people. The relationships we build within our chapter, across the industry, and in our communities are what make our work impactful. Whether it’s a conversation at a local event, a mentorship moment, or a shared challenge, connections are the catalyst for growth.
This year, I encourage each of us to:
- Reach out to someone new in the chapter.
- Reengage with colleagues and peers.
- Reinvest in the power of collaboration.
What’s Ahead
We’ll be rolling out programs that focus on core competencies, hosting events that foster genuine networking, and celebrating the legacy and future of our chapter. Whether you’re a long-time member or just joining us, there’s a place for you here.
Let’s get back to basics and move forward together. Thank you to all members and to the board for your dedication and the time you volunteer to continue to grow our chapter. I also want to extend my appreciation to our Past Presidents for your strength and leadership. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.
