President’s Welcome

After 35 years in the healthcare community, stepping into the role of Arizona Chapter HFMA President feels like a full-circle moment—an opportunity to give back to an organization and profession that have given me so much. My journey has been shaped by the encouragement, wisdom, and mentorship of countless healthcare leaders, many of whom I met through HFMA. Their impact on my personal and professional growth is something I carry with deep gratitude. Serving in this leadership role is more than just a milestone, as HFMA’s incoming National Chair, Kiran Batheja has stated in his vision, this year’s theme, it’s our time to “lead now!”

This year, we’ll focus on connection, collaboration, and community—supporting one another through mentorship, driving engagement across provider and partner organizations, and creating valuable opportunities for students and emerging leaders. And yes, we’ll be doing it all with a healthy dose of awesome sauce—our chapter’s “secret ingredient” for making the ordinary extraordinary!

I believe our strength lies in our shared commitment to excellence and innovation, and I’m excited to build on the strong foundation laid by the incredible leaders who came before me. With your participation and passion, I know we can make this a year of impact and lasting connection.
