President’s Welcome

Dear Metro NY Healthcare Community,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the HFMA Metro NY Chapter. As we embark on the 2025–2026 year, I am honored to serve as your President and to work alongside a dedicated leadership team committed to advancing our mission.

I’m a proud graduate of Florida State University — Go Noles! — where I split my time between the swim team and the wakeboard team. So, I’ve been training my whole life to stay afloat in turbulent waters. Healthcare finance felt like a natural fit.

But what truly anchored me was finding this community. HFMA Metro NY welcomed me in when I had no built-in support system. I found mentors who invested in me, peers who inspired me, and a mission I could believe in. That experience lit a fire inside me, and sparked the passion I have today to give back and help others feel the same sense of belonging and purpose.

Our 2025-2026 Metro NY theme is “Own Your Impact.” Our work isn’t always front and center, but its impact is undeniable. We drive innovation, enable access, and support the sustainability of care delivery. Whether you’re managing a budget, leading a team, or navigating change, your work matters, and I believe it’s time we truly own that.

This year, we will focus on three key priorities:

Empowering Through Education: Delivering forward-thinking, practical content to keep our members ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Strengthening Community: Building relationships across roles, systems, and generations to leverage our collective expertise.
Championing Equity and Inclusion: Creating a space where every voice is heard, valued, and empowered to lead.

I truly believe we are the best chapter in the nation. Our history is rich, our network is powerful, and our members are second to none. And this year, we’re bringing that prestige and value back into sharp focus. We’re going to lead with excellence, operate with integrity, and deliver programming and connections that raise the bar—not just for ourselves, but for the entire Metro NY community.

To the past presidents, thank you for building the foundation we stand on.

I invite you to engage with our chapter, attend our events, participate in our programs, and contribute your unique perspective. This year, our Metro NY Chapter theme is Own Your Impact; a reminder that each of us has the power to lead, influence, and create meaningful change.
