This document summarizes the final rule published by the OIG in the December 2, 2020, Federal Register, to revise safe harbors under the federal anti-kickback statute and the civil monetary penalty (CMP) law that prohibits inducements offered to patients (beneficiary inducement CMP). The regulations are effective January 19, 2021.
