HFMA presents this summary of the OIG’s proposed rule that would amend its civil money penalty (CMP) rules to incorporate new authorities provided for CMPs, assessments, and exclusions related to HHS grants, contracts, other agreements; incorporate new CMP authorities for information blocking; and increase the maximum penalties for certain CMP violations.
